Atkins has been proven to have bad long term effects.

Yes, I’ve tried it. It’s cutting carbohydrates, and you need them for energy.

    Didn’t really work for me.

I’ve used the Atkins diet and loved it. I found that my biggest problem with weight comes from the amount of carbs I eat. My biggest tip is make sure you do it the right way. To begin – you should only be having 20 carbs per day for the first 2 weeks. Make sure that the carbs you have are from vegetables – eat healthy. Don’t overdue it on beef or higher fat proteins. Stick to the lower fat ones (fish, chicken). You should also not eat big meals… eating 4-5 meals each day that are smaller amounts works better. I did about 4 oz of total portions (protein and veggies mixed) about 5 times a day. Also – drink lots of water. And invest in Keto Strips… available from your pharmacist… they allow you to track how your system is doing and when your body is working to utilize the weight you have for energy. If you have any questions, just need to chat, or would like some great recipes and tips – just let me know. Good luck!
